The Five-Minute Ritual

You do not need to perfect your evening. You only need a small way to tell yourself that the day is allowed to end.

Give us five minutes, and we’ll help you leave the day behind.

Minute one: lower the signal

Dim the room. Put your phone face down or out of reach. Let the environment become quieter before asking your mind to do the same.

Minute two: set down tomorrow

Write one unfinished task on paper. You are not solving it now; you are giving it somewhere to wait.

Minute three: soften the room

Reduce one source of light, noise, or physical discomfort. Small changes count.

Minute four: release the performance

Rest does not have to be productive. You do not have to earn tonight by promising to be better tomorrow.

Minute five: close the day

Take one unhurried breath and choose a final sentence: The day is over. I am allowed to leave it here.
